What is Xylitol and is it good for you?

As a sweetener, xylitol is an excellent choice. Whereas some sweeteners may cause health risks, studies show that xylitol has actual health benefits. It doesn't spike blood sugar or insulin, starves the plaque-producing bacteria in your mouth and feeds friendly microbes in your digestive system.

How best to use Smiyl Gel?

Smiyl natural tooth gel can be used in place of regular toothpaste. Because it is safe
to swallow, smiyl can be used by both children and adults, from age 3 months and
up.
For newborns and infants:
- place/rub directly onto the gums, tongue, or teeth
- place on pacifier
- place on a baby bottle
- place on a sippy cup
For children and adults:
- apply to toothbrush and brush teeth at least 2x per day
*for maximum benefit, it is recommended to:
- use gel 3-5 times per day
- do not rinse mouth with water after use

Are baby teeth more prone to cavities?

Cavities, are infectious and can spread – and can even cause infections in the adult teeth growing beneath them. Compared to adult teeth, baby teeth are more susceptible to decay because they have a thinner layer of enamel, the hard outer surface of the teeth.

Is Fluoride toothpaste safe for my toddler?

The answer is yes, but it completely depends on the amount and their ability to spit after brushing and not ingest the paste. Xylitol tooth gel removes the risk of fluoride ingestion and helps reduce streps mutans the bacteria that causes dental caries.
